"A Year of Typography"
Client: Art 327 - Advanced Structures
The projects below were from a term long series dedicated to a hypothetical, year-long event that featured twelve professional designers giving lectures once a month. There were various parts to the project, which included; a one month calendar spread featuring that month's guest speaker, a poster informing viewers of the lecture series and it's guests as well as a book with one chapter dedicated to either a biography of, or article written by, each month's guest. The focus of each project was working with an underlying grid structure. The calendar spread is laid out in a way not normally seen since it's intended use is about informing of the guest speaker and not functionality. The book featured a different grid structure per chapter, as well as two translucent sheets of paper so the grid structure and its use would be visible to the reader.
